University Medical Center New Orleans (UMC) announced its exclusive accreditation for Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) by the American College of Cardiology (ACC), making it the sole accredited hospital in Orleans Parish.

Primary PCI, a critical procedure for treating heart attacks, is now provided at University Medical Center's Chest Pain Center. The ACC accreditation signifies that the center has met rigorous criteria, ensuring patients receive prompt and effective interventions.

The Nurturing the Future of Nursing Program is a strategic move that aims to bolster the healthcare workforce while simultaneously creating a sustainable pathway into the nursing profession. This program promotes and fosters matriculation from student nurse to staff nurse positions.
