Children’s Hospital New Orleans and Carrollton Boosters announced a new sponsorship agreement, naming the sports complex at “The Fly” the Children’s Hospital New Orleans Baseball and Softball Complex at Carrollton.
The partnership not only names Carrollton’s youth sports complex, but also brings enrichment to the league, including supporting the health and safety of athletes and families, offering safety clinics for the league’s many volunteers coaches, and more.
October is National Physical Therapy month and Baudry Therapy Center | BRIO is joining members of the physical therapy profession for a worldwide effort to give back to the community on Oct. 12. Designated as PT Day of Service (PTDOS), this one-day event celebrates physical therapists’ dedication to bettering our communities and impacting change.
The 60th Annual National Dialogues on Behavioral Health (NDBH) conference titled "Creating Value, Measuring Value: Connecting Care, Collaboration and Outcomes” will be held at the Renaissance Arts Hotel in New Orleans from Nov. 3–6. The Ochsner Accountable Care Network, LLC (OACN) reported its 2018 savings results, which included a reduction in the expected cost of care by more than $12.87M for over 24,000 Medicare beneficiaries. The 2018 savings represented an 81% increase in savings per beneficiary and a 12% increase in total savings over 2017, resulting from collaboration and development of programs focused on benefiting patients and improve the overall health of the region.

Thibodaux Regional Health System announced the addition of Dr. Venkata Devabhaktuni, psychiatrist, to the active medical staff. His office is located at Thibodaux Medical Clinic, 931 N. Canal Boulevard in Thibodaux.
Dr. Omer Khokhar, hematologist-medical oncologist, is also joining the active medical staff. He has joined Thibodaux Regional Oncology Clinic located in Thibodaux Regional’s Cancer Center.
