October is National Physical Therapy month and Baudry Therapy Center | BRIO is joining members of the physical therapy profession for a worldwide effort to give back to the community on Oct. 12. Designated as PT Day of Service (PTDOS), this one-day event celebrates physical therapists’ dedication to bettering our communities and impacting change.
Baudry Therapy Center | BRIO has chosen to support and serve the Louisiana Walks for Parkinson’s organization for PTDOS. During the Oct. 12 event, the Baudry team will participate in the two-mile walk at Lafreniere Park and will be on-hand to assist with any physical therapy needs for Parkinson patients and/or race participants. In addition, they will help cook and serve gumbo after the race.
“We truly enjoy participating in the annual Louisiana Parkinson’s Walk because we know how beneficial physical therapy can be to Parkinson’s patients. Physical therapy helps restore movement and function so that they can live a fuller life. This walk is the perfect way to show appreciation for our patients and gratitude to their families who are their biggest support system,” said Richard Baudry, owner, Baudry Therapy Center | BRIO.
