St. Tammany Health System has again been ranked among the best places to work in the New Orleans metro area by CityBusiness magazine. The 2025 honor is the fourth consecutive year the health system has been included on the publication’s annual Best Places to Work list. 

As in previous years, the health system was recognized in the largest of the three sized-based categories, reserved for organizations with 250 employees or more. STHS is one of only four organizations honored in the large-employer category

Ochsner Health announced that Pete November, president and CEO, was recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare of 2025.

This recognition program acknowledges and honors individuals who are deemed by the Modern Healthcare newsroom to be the most influential figures in the industry in terms of leadership and impact.

ATLANTA — A Centers for Disease Control and Prevention committee voted to eliminate a recommendation that all newborn babies receive a vaccine against hepatitis B, ending a policy that has been in place since 1991 to protect Americans against an incurable liver disease that can lead to cirrhosis, cancer and liver failure.

The New Family Center at St. Tammany Health System’s flagship St. Tammany Parish Hospital has been named to U.S. News & World Report’s 2026 list of the nation’s Best Hospitals for Maternity Care.

Ochsner Medical Center — Kenner has also been named a 2026 High Performing hospital for Maternity Care by the publication.
