Gov. Jeff Landry signed an executive order establishing the Office of Rural Health Transformation and Sustainability within the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH), marking a major step forward in strengthening healthcare access and outcomes for rural communities across the state. The executive order also establishes the Rural Health Transformation Program Advisory Council.

The new Cardiology Center at St. Tammany Health System was officially dedicated March 25 during a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by health system leadership, members of the medical community, and local public officials.
The 22,000-square-foot facility, located across South Tyler Street from St. Tammany Parish Hospital,
Terrebonne General Health System honored Ben Adams, MD, as the recipient of the Golden Stethoscope Award. Adams is board-certified in anesthesiology and echocardiography. Adams has previously served as vice chief of medical staff, chief of staff, director of anesthesiology, and medical director of surgery at Terrebonne General.
