Louisiana Healthcare Connections announced the opening of its 2026 Major Investment Community Health Grants cycle, making $100,000 in total funding available to organizations working to improve health outcomes across the state.
With nearly 60% of its members under the age of 21, Louisiana Healthcare Connections is prioritizing initiatives that support maternal and child health. Grant funding will focus on programs that expand access to preventive and mental health care, address social drivers of health, and advance overall community wellness. In alignment with statewide efforts to improve maternal and infant health outcomes, proposals that deliver measurable impacts for women and children will receive priority consideration.
“Improving maternal and child health in Louisiana requires strong partnerships and community-driven solutions,” said Dana Lawson, MD, Sr. Vice President of Population Health & Clinical Operations at Louisiana Healthcare Connections. “Through our Community Health Grants program, we are investing in organizations that are breaking down barriers to care, addressing the root causes of poor health, and delivering meaningful, lasting impact for families across our state.”
Eligible nonprofits, healthcare providers, and schools are encouraged to apply for funding of up to $50,000 per request. Applications for Major Investment Grants must be submitted by 5 p.m. on May 29, 2026, with award recipients announced by the end of June.
