Events include a ribbon cutting on Aug. 9 for a new, 20,000 square foot health center, located at 2801 General DeGaulle Drive in Algiers. National Health Center Week, sponsored by the National Association of Community Health Centers, is an annual celebration which raises awareness about the mission and accomplishments of America’s health centers.

Powering Communities Through Caring Connections serves as the theme, recognizing the impact that health center workers and their compassionate services have on community members.

“Although DePaul Community Health Centers prioritizes the health and wellness of the community every day, celebrating National Health Center Week allows us to focus specifically on giving back to the community and appreciating not only our patients but also our associates,” said Dr. Michael Griffin, MSPH, DSc, FACHE, president & CEO of DCHC.
