Louisiana’s Committee of 100 for Economic Development has selected St. Tammany Health System President and CEO Joan Coffman to serve as a member for 2024.
Founded in 1992, C100 is the state’s business roundtable, serving as a catalyst for positive change in government, education, and the economy to improve the quality of life for all people in Louisiana. Its membership includes senior executives of leading public and private companies, as well as university presidents from across the state.
In addition to business and industry support and growth, C100 engages its membership in influencing state public policy issues focusing on economic development, workforce/ education, and insurance reform.
“Joan brings talent, experience and a passion for Louisiana that will further C100’s efforts in economic development,” said Adam Knapp, CEO of C100. “We welcome her expanse of experience and accomplishments that will greatly enrich C100 being the catalyst for positive change in Louisiana.”
Coffman has served since 2018 as chief executive of the Covington-based St. Tammany Health System.
Coffman has also been instrumental in the founding and growth of Healthier Northshore, a communitywide collaborative made up of healthcare, non-profit, and government leaders united under the common goal of maximizing opportunities for community health.
Among number other professional affiliations and appointments, she is currently a member of the Louisiana Hospital Association Board of Trustees, Northshore Business Council Executive Committee, Northshore Hospital Association, Ochsner Health Network Board, Healthier Northshore Advisory Council, St. Tammany Corporation Board of Directors, and AHA Regional Policy Board.
A fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives since 2013, she was named to Biz New Orleans’ List of the most influential business leaders in the New Orleans region in 2023.
