DePaul Community Health Centers Offering Sleep Study Medicine Services

DePaul Community Health Centers is now offering Sleep Medicine Services, providing patients with convenient, comprehensive care for sleep disorders through consultations, at-home sleep studies, and personalized treatment plans. The new service is available at DePaul's Algiers, Carrollton, Kenner, and New Orleans East health centers.

DePaul's Sleep Medicine program begins with an in-person consultation to evaluate a patient's symptoms and determine whether an at-home sleep study is appropriate. Patients complete the sleep study in the comfort of their own home using a ring monitor that collects information about breathing, oxygen levels, heart rate, and sleep patterns. Results are reviewed by a board-certified physician specializing in sleep medicine before patients receive a personalized treatment plan and ongoing follow-up care from their DePaul provider.

Kelsey Dupont, FNP-C,  a board-certified family nurse practitioner with extensive experience in primary care, urgent care, and sleep medicine, is leading the program. Prior to joining DePaul, Dupont evaluated patients with sleep disorders, ordered and reviewed diagnostic sleep studies, and managed treatment plans for patients with sleep apnea. She also brings clinical experience in emergency medicine, neurosurgery, and wound care, providing patients with a comprehensive, patient-centered approach to care.
