DePaul Community Health Centers (DCHC) will hold health insurance marketplace enrollment at several of its health centers Jan. 11-Jan. 13. Because Jan. 15 is a federal holiday (Martin Luther King Day), consumers can enroll until Jan. 16 for coverage that begins effective Feb. 1.
"We're holding these events to ensure that everyone receives the healthcare they're eligible for. Our health insurance navigators will gladly guide participants through the process and find the best health insurance coverage for them," said Chenita LeBlanc, program manager.
Both English and Spanish-speaking health insurance navigators employed by DCHC will be onsite to assist individuals with signing up for health care coverage at the following locations: 3201 South Carrollton (Carrollton), 5630 Read Blvd. (New Orleans East), 3303 Higgins Blvd. (Higgins), 100 Warrington Dr. (Gentilly), 1629 Westbank Expressway, Suite B (Harvey), 111 N. Causeway Blvd. (Metairie), 1030 Lesseps St. (Bywater/St. Cecilia), and 3715 Williams Blvd., Suite 220 (Kenner).
The times of operation are as follows:
-Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024:
5-7 p.m. at Carrollton and New Orleans East
-Friday, Jan. 12, 2024:
8 a.m.-5 p.m. at Carrollton, New Orleans East, Higgins, Gentilly, and Harvey

Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act, quality health coverage continues to be even more affordable and accessible for the third year in a row. This means:
-Lower prices - Four (4) in five (5)HealthCare.gov customers are able to find health coverage for $10 or less per month with financial help.
-More people qualify - Whether individuals are uninsured, don’t get insurance through their jobs, or are looking to find health coverage at a lower cost, the Open Enrollment Period grants them access.
