DePaul Community Health Centers (DCHC) is once again offering free dental screenings and fluoride treatments for children on Give Kids A Smile Day, March 22.
The event, presented by Fore!Kids Foundation, will take place at DCHC’s Carrollton location (3201 S. Carrollton Ave.) from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. and provide children ages one to 10 years old with dental care. Additionally, children will enjoy face-painting, balloon art, games, music from a DJ and more. Last year’s event provided dental services for nearly 130 children.
Give Kids A Smile was launched nationally by the American Dental Association in 2003. Since then, more than five million underserved children have received free oral health services. Nationwide, services are provided by approximately 10,000 dentists annually, along with 30,000 other dental team members.
Other sponsors for this year’s DCHC Give Kids a Smile Day are Jambalaya News and Raising Cane’s.
