JPMS’ 2026 president, Lindsay R. She earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Med- icine in New Orleans in 2003 and com- pleted her pediatric residency at Tulane University School of Medicine in 2006. She also holds a master’s degree in public health in tropical medicine from Tulane University School of Public Health. Throughout her career, she has demon- strated a strong commitment to pediatric healthcare through leadership roles and clinical practice, including serving as vice chair of pediatrics at West Jefferson Med- ical Center, a member of the Preferred Physicians Insurance Company, and as president of the Jefferson Political Action Committee. She has been affiliated with multiple medical facilities, including Tulane, Chil- dren’s Hospital, and West Jefferson Med- ical Center, and is fluent in both English and Spanish, enhancing her ability to serve a diverse patient population. And for myself, I ama native NewOrlea- nian. I attended Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed my residency in internal medi- cine at Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation, where I received the Nancy Landman Me- morial Award. I completed my fellowship in endocri- nology, diabetes, and metabolism at Ochs- ner Clinic in New Orleans and became board-certified in that specialty. I have also received a Fellowship in the American College of Physicians, recommended by WilliamDavis, MD, and Charles “Bo”Sand- ers, MD. I am currently in private practice with a group of endocrinologists serving patients from Orleans, Jefferson, and St. Tammany Parishes. I have been an active clinical pre- ceptor at William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine since 2015 and a clinical instructor for third- and fourth- year medical students. I have also served as an endocrine elective rotation instruc- tor for the LSU Rural FamilyMedicine Res- idency Program in Bogalusa, Louisiana. I have been active in organizedmedicine for many years, serving on the board of the JPMS and as its president from 2024–2025. As a founding member and board member of MASELA, I have witnessed firsthand how this bridge between OPMS and JPMS amplifies our voice, supports physicians, and improves patient care. Building on Momentum in 2026 As we look ahead, it is worth reflecting on the meaningful work our society ac- complished in 2025, such as: • Celebration of Medicine held at Me- tairie Country Club; • White Coat Wednesday with the Lou- isiana State Legislature; • Delegation participation at the Lou- isiana State Medical Society meeting in Florida; • General membership meeting held in October at the Gayle and TomBenson Cancer Center; • Vaccination Awareness Campaign, Physicians for Prevention (pfpnola. org); and • Medical society recognition of the he- roes of the January 1st terrorist attack at the Mahalia Jackson Theater in New Orleans. With gratitude and pride, MASELAplans to build on these successes with renewed purpose, collaboration, and resolve. Unit- ed by our shared mission to support phy- sicians and advance patient care, we move forward with confidence. The challenges ahead will be met with innovation, integ- rity, and teamwork, and the opportunities before us will be embraced with optimism. Together, we will continue to strengthen our society and shape a future that reflects the very best of organized medicine. In early March, MASELA, JPMS, and OPMS hosted the 2026 Celebration of Medicine at the Metairie Country Club. We look forward to sharing the highlights of this wonderful event soon. n To join MASELA, go to masela.org/join.
