STQN Announces 2024 Third- Quarter Medical Director’s Award St. Tammany Quality Network (STQN) has pre- sented its third-quarter Medical Director’s Award to Seth McVea, MD, for his performance in achiev- ing pediatric quality goals. These goals measure completion of annual well child visits and immu- nization compliance, effective asthma treatment, and appropriate specialty medication monitoring. McVea is part of the St. Tammany Physician’s Network pediatric team. In spring 2024, he and his fellow pediatricians helped open the new St. Tammany Pediatrics clinic in Mandeville, which includes an integrated Express Care Kids after- hours and walk-in clinic. McVea has been on the medical staff of St. Tam- many Health System since 2022. He graduated from LSU Medical School before completing a pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans. n A, Thibodaux, will provide two hyperbaric oxygen therapy units. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is uti- lized for patients who have conditions that may benefit from breathing in 100% oxygen under pressure greater than sea level. Patients with dia- betic foot ulcers, late effects of radiation, chronic bone infections, and several other conditions will be evaluated and appropriately treated utilizing the hyperbaric unit if needed. “With the incidence and prevalence of chronic, non-healing wounds on the rise, Thibodaux Regional has further developed services that provide quality wound care and reduce limb amputations,” said Greg Stock, CEO, Thibodaux Regional Health System. “Our goal is to improve the quality of life for patients, and provide com- prehensive wound care and limb preservation care close to home.” Terrebonne General Health SystemNames Rachel Landrus, RN, as Director of the Cancer Center Program Terrebonne General Health System has named Rachel Landrus, RN, the new director of the Can- cer Program. Landrus has served as the Cancer Center manager at Terrebonne General | Mary Bird Cancer Center since 2021. As the director, Landrus will oversee all aspects of the Cancer Center, including strategic planning, program development, and team leadership. Landrus graduated with a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Nicholls State University in 2014. She has been on staff as a registered nurse with Terrebonne General since 2019, where she has provided specialized care to oncology patients. “Rachel’s knowledge in oncology, as well as her department management, has provided her a strong foundation as she moves into the director role,” said Phyllis Peoples, president and CEO. “We are excited to promote her and to look for- ward to seeing how she will continue to make a positive impact in supporting our mission of improving survivorship and lessening the burden of cancer.” Thibodaux Regional Welcomes Bryce Casteigne, MD, to the Neurology Clinic Thibodaux Regional Health System announced the addition of Bryce Casteigne, MD, neurology, to the active medical staff. Casteigne is available to care for patients at Thibodaux Regional Neu- rology Clinic located at 726 North Acadia Road, Suite 2300 in Thibodaux.
