Their hard work and dedication to provide high quality care for our community is unmatched,” said Robert Hart, MD, chief physician executive, Ochsner Health. “I am proud of the environment we have created for our patients.” Three Terrebonne General Health SystemNurses Named to Great 100 Nurses Terrebonne General Health System had three nurses named to the 2023 “Great 100 Nurses.” Vanessa Davidson, RN, Madeline Denning, RN, and Cindy Hebert, RN, were honored at the Annual Great 100 Nurses Celebration of Louisi- ana held at The Pontchartrain Center. The Great 100 Nurses Foundation was founded in New Orleans and since then has honored thou- sands of nurses across Louisiana. Founded in 1986, the Great 100 Nurses of Louisiana Founda- tion recognizes outstanding nursing accomplish- ments and successes. The honorees are selected based on their concern for humanity, their con- tributions to the profession of nursing, and their mentoring of others. Vanessa Davidson, RN, is the nurse director of the cardiac progressive units on 4 South and has been with Terrebonne General for almost 12 years. Madeline Denning, RN, works in critical care and has been with Terrebonne General for seven years. Cindy Hebert, RN, was in care management as an admit assessment case manager nurse who is now retired; she worked at Terrebonne General for almost 25 years. St. Tammany Health System Recognized for Patient Safety For the 16th consecutive grading period, St. Tammany Health System has received an “A” grade for patient safety for fall 2023 from the Leapfrog Group, an independent healthcare watchdog organization. “Earning an ‘A’ Grade means St. Tammany Health System has made a true commitment to put patients first,” said Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. “We con- gratulate the leadership, Board, clinicians, staff and volunteers that all had a role to play in this achievement.” Ochsner Health Breaks Ground for Neuroscience Center Ochsner Health recently broke ground on The Debra H. and Robert J. Patrick Neuroscience Cen- ter. Announced September 2022, the Patrick fam- ily generously donated a transformational gift to establish the center, which will be located on Jef- ferson Highway near Ochsner Medical Center- New Orleans. The 132,000-square-foot facility will integrate Ochsner’s neurology, neurosurgery, and behav- ioral health departments in one comprehensive center. As part of Ochsner’s recently announced strategic partnership with Team Gleason, the nation’s second assistive technology lab will be built in the Patrick Neuroscience Center. This lab will pioneer cutting-edge equipment and technology so patients living with ALS and other neurological disorders can increase their indepen- dence, mobility, and communication, giving them a higher quality of life. Terrebonne General Health SystemEarns Recognition fromThe Leapfrog Group Terrebonne General Health System earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit watchdog that sets standards for excellence in patient care. Leap- frog assigns an “A,” “B,” “C,” “D,” or “F” grade to general hospitals across the country based on over 30 national performance measures reflect- ing errors, accidents, injuries, and infections, as well as the systems hospitals have in place to pre- vent harm. “I am very proud of the Terrebonne General healthcare team for this outstanding national achievement which exemplifies the highest level of safety and quality care that we provide to our patients each and every day,” said Phyllis Peo- ples, Terrebonne General president and CEO. “Our team works tirelessly to ensure that medical excellence and compassion is delivered to each patient we encounter.” Ochsner Hospital for Children Introduces Pediatrics Residency Program Beginning in July 2024, Ochsner Hospital for Children will begin ACGME-accredited residency training at Ochsner Medical Center-New Orleans, Vanessa Davidson, RN Madeline Denning, RN Cindy Hebert, RN Three Terrebonne General Health System Nurses Named to Great 100 Nurses
