Mark Rice,MD, is a board-certified emergencymed- icine physician in Southeastern Louisiana.He gradu- ated fromLouisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. Rice completed medical school at Louisiana State University School of Medicine inNewOrleans in 2006 and continued in residency at LSUHSCNewOrleans in emergencymedicine.After completing residency, Rice was certified by the American Board of Emer- gency Medicine and has continued maintenance of this certification. Rice is currently vice president for the West Jef- ferson Emergency Physicians Group in Marrero, Louisiana. He practices clinically in several private practice emergency medicine settings throughout Southeastern Louisiana. In addition to clinical prac- tice,Rice has served as boardmember and president of organizations such as the Louisiana chapter of theAmerican College of Emergency Physicians, the Louisiana chapter of theAmericanAcademy of Emer- gency Medicine, Jefferson Parish Medical Society, and Jefferson Physicians’Foundation.
