Fletcher, a former collegiate swimmer, brings to Thibodaux Regional more than 30 years of coaching experience, has produced nearly 100 All-Americans, and has seen greater than 50% of his swimmers go on to compete at the collegiate level. The Thibodaux Regional competitive swim- ming program will begin this month. Crawfish Aquatics announced the discontinu- ation of its operations in the Bayou Region this past March. “When the parents of the swim team approached us requesting our assistance in con- tinuing the program, we were happy to help,” says Greg Stock, Thibodaux Regional CEO. “Through our Wellness Center, we continue to work on per- fecting and expanding sports performance. We feel that the opportunity to work with these tal- ented, young athletes through integrated sports and wellness services, such as strength and con- ditioning, sports nutrition, and injury prevention, will enable high performance and help them to grow and excel in their sport.” Thibodaux Regional’s Aquatics Center pool was designed and built for competitive swimming. Italian American Fishing RodeoMakes Donation to Children’s Hospital NO Following the 16th Italian American Fishing Rodeo held June 10-11, event organizers pre- sented Children’s Hospital New Orleans with a $34,175 donation. The event took place at the Hopedale Marina and included fishing, raffle items, and a silent auc- tion. The Italian American Fishing Rodeo’s long- standing partnership with Children’s Hospital has resulted in a lifetime donation of $245,000.
