Robichaux earned an undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and received a medical degree from Louisi- ana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. She completed a residency in family medicine at Louisiana State University Health Sci- ences Center in Lake Charles. Robichaux specializes in health and wellness care for the whole family and is trained in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of a broad range of illnesses and conditions. Ochsner Health Receives Gift to Build Neuroscience Center Ochsner Health announced a gift that will estab- lish its freestanding neuroscience center to be built on Jefferson Highway near Ochsner Medi- cal Center – New Orleans. Once complete, the 132,000-square-foot Robert J. and Debra H. Pat- rick Neuroscience Center will be a single and com- prehensive destination of neurological care for patients that will include an Innovation Center, integrative and aquatic therapies, and a neuro- logical rehabilitation center. This gift of support comes from Robert J. and Debra H. Patrick. St. Tammany Health System Names Kelly Rabalais New AVP of Communication St. Tammany Health System has announced the appointment of Kelly Rabalais, FACHE, as assis- tant vice president of communication. Rabalais is a member of the College of Health- care Executives and was previously the chief administrative officer for former St. Tammany Parish President Pat Brister. Rabalais will continue serving as the health system’s assistant vice presi- dent of strategy, a role she has filled since joining the health system in January 2020. Rabalais is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and previously served as an elected member of the Louisiana State Bar Association board of governors. In 2022, she became a health law specialist, certified by the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization. She previously served as then-Parish President Brister’s executive counsel before accepting the position of chief administrative officer. Rabalais earned undergraduate and law degrees from Louisiana State University. Additionally, she holds a master’s in health administration and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Mortazavi earned a doctor of osteopathic med- icine degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and completed a fel- lowship in pain medicine from Louisiana State Uni- versity Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She specializes in treating various pain condi- tions, including low back pain, neck pain, joint pain, peripheral neuropathy, diabetic peripheral neuropathy, complex regional pain syndromes, post-herpetic neuralgia, and chronic postoper- ative pain. NOCC, Delgado Charity School of Nursing, Ochsner Health Join Forces to Pilot LPN Apprenticeship Program New Orleans high school students interested in nursing careers will soon have a free, three-year path to becoming licensed practical nurses (LPN) starting in 11th grade. The new pilot LPN appren- ticeship program was developed by New Orleans Career Center (NOCC), Delgado Charity School of Nursing, and Ochsner Health. Recruiting for a pilot cohort will begin in January for 20 seats. It is the only program of its kind in New Orleans. “At NOCC, we prepare young people to be the city’s workforce of the future, to have the option and the training to enter satisfying, well-paid careers in high-demand sectors like healthcare,” said CEO Claire Jecklin. “The collaboration with Delgado and Ochsner creates an efficient new route to financially sustaining careers without the crippling burden of student loan debt.” High school students accepted into the pilot Elizabeth Mortazavi, MD Caroline Robichaux, MD
