Her work in the executive branch and on Capitol Hill informs the service she delivers to her clients, particularly with corporate governance and compliance issues. Her civic engagement includes service as a trustee of the University Medical Center Management Cor- poration since 2013, as a board member fellow of the Norman C. Francis Leadership Institute; and as trustee of the Children’s Bureau of New Orleans since 2010, which she chaired for four years. She has been honored by many national and regional organizations for both her service to clients and diversity work. Brandy M. Johnson, DNP, secretary-treasurer Johnson is director of education and employee health at BridgePoint Continuing Hospital in Mar- rero. She previously served as lead registered nurse clinical educator at University Medical Cen- ter. Prior to joining University Medical Center, she worked as a registered nurse instructor at Delgado Community College-Charity School of Nursing and as a certified nursing assistant instructor/pro- gram coordinator in the Jefferson Parish Public School System. Johnson began her career as a registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Och- sner Medical Center. In 2019, she was named a Great 100 Nurse of Louisiana and received a Daisy Award for nursing excellence. Johnson received is a graduate of Charity School of Nursing and Louisiana State University Health Science Center. Leon J. “Trey” Reymond Reymond is a business lawyer at Lisko & Lewis. Reymond handles mergers and acquisitions, busi- ness and financing transactions, negotiation and drafting of commercial contracts, corporate plan- ning and compliance, securities law and business entity structuring and formation. Prior to enter- ing the legal field, he practiced as a Certified Public Accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co. He maintains the distinction of certified public accountant, inactive. He is a graduate of the Uni- versity of Notre Dame and Vanderbilt University School of Law. Stephen Sontheimer Sontheimer is the senior consultant of funeral services at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home and Cemeteries. Sontheimer is a fourth-gener- ation funeral director as his family has been in the industry since 1916. He was the former chair- man and chief executive officer of Security Indus- trial Funeral Home Corporation, and for the past 22 years has been a funeral director-consultant associated with Bultman and Tharp-Sontheimer Funeral Homes. Sontheimer is a graduate of the Tulane University School of Business. Our Lady of the Angels Earns STQNAnnounces 2020 Fourth Quarter Medical Director’s Award St. Tammany Quality Network presented the 2020 fourth quarter Medical Director’s Award to Jill Gibson, MD, for achieving the lowest C-sec- tion rate and the highest deliveries in November. “We are very proud of Dr. Gibson.” said Michael K. Hill, MD. “One of our goals at STHS is to reduce elective C-sections, particularly for first- time mothers. Sometimes C-section is medically necessary for the safety of the mother, baby, or both. However, the rates at which elective C-sec- tions occur is a national issue, and we are focused at STHS on reducing this rate in our health sys- tem. Dr. Gibson is passionate about providing the best care for her patients and has consistently led in this area.” Gibson has been on the STHS medical staff for eight years. She did a residency at LSU Health Sci- ences Center in Shreveport and is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gyne- cology. She has a private practice in Covington.
