Children’s Hospital NewOrleans Supports Hurricane Laura Relief Over the last month, Children’s Hospital New Orleans team members have paid it forward to those displaced from the Lake Charles area in the aftermath of Hurricane Laura. Children’s Hospital and LCMC Health have partnered with the City of New Orleans to pro- vide supply donations, information, and health- care resources to Lake Charles families who have been displaced in New Orleans following Hurri- cane Laura at the Family Resource Center located at the Morial Convention Center. Children’s Hos- pital staff and community members participated in a supply donation drive, collecting hundreds of items for families in need, including toiletries, household items, baby supplies, and clothing. a wide range of mental and behavioral health disorders. TGMCNames NewDirector of Regulatory and Risk Terrebonne General Medical Center (TGMC) named Joann Cannata as director of regulatory and risk. Cannata has been a member of the TGMC family for more than 30 years. She is a graduate of Loyola University, a certified public accountant, and holds a CHC certificate by the Health Care Compliance Association. For the last four years, Cannata has been the compliance officer at TGMC. In her new role, she will continue as compliance and privacy offi- cer; however, she will also take on the admin- istrative role of directing internal audit and risk management. Brian J. Matherne, MD, Honored as Recipient of TGMC Golden Stethoscope Award Terrebonne General Medical Center (TGMC) announced Brian J. Matherne, MD, as the recipi- ent of the Golden Stethoscope Award. The prominent Golden Stethoscope Award pub- licly recognizes a TGMC physician for his or her exceptional level of professionalism, integrity, and teamwork in caring for patients and families, as well as interacting with hospital staff members and other physicians. Nominations can be made by physicians, employees, patients, and volunteers and recognizes two physicians a year.
