Tulane Health System Offers Health Insurance Assistance Hotline Tulane Health System is now offering a free ser- vice to help individuals who may have lost their health insurance coverage as a result of the eco- nomic impact caused by COVID-19. Unemployment in the New Orleans area contin- ues to rise as the pandemic persists. This is espe- cially true for the hotel and hospitality industry, as has been recently reported. “Taking care of the community’s health needs extends beyond just treating physical illness. It also involves caring for patients’ peace of mind and working to ensure patients have access to the care and resources they need,” said Tulane Health System CEO Robert Lynch, MD. Anyone can call the insurance hotline at (833) 867-8771 to receive free, confidential, and per- sonalized guidance. St. Tammany Health System Earns Multiple Guardian of Excellence Awards Press Ganey named St. Tammany Health Sys- tem among recipients of its annual performance achievement awards. STHS Women’s Pavilion won the Guardian of Excellence for Patient Experience in Outpatient Services, and STHS flagship, St. Tammany Par- ish Hospital, won the Guardian of Excellence for Employee Engagement. These awards show that STHS achieved the 95th percentile for each reporting period of the award year for patient experience, engagement, or clin- ical quality performance. Only 350 organizations nationwide received this recognition. Thibodaux Regional Health SystemProvides Playground Equipment for Area Schools Thibodaux Regional Health System is providing playground equipment for additional area schools by partnering with Lafourche Parish Government. The new equipment is going to two Head Start schools in Lafourche Parish. The Thibodaux Head Start and Myra Cham- pagne Head Start in Lockport will be the 10th and 11th schools receiving playground equipment as part of Thibodaux Regional’s on-going initiative to improve the health and wellness of the youth in Lafourche and surrounding parishes. “We are happy that we can continue our efforts to provide playground equipment for the youth in our communities,” said Greg Stock, Thibodaux Regional CEO. “By reaching children at a younger age, such as three and four years old, we hope to instill in them a basis for becoming physically active and making healthy lifestyle choices.” LCMCHealth Thanks Employees with Dining Initiative Leaders from LCMC Health presented employ- ees with a VISA gift card to spend in Louisiana restaurants as an expression of gratitude for the work that has been done at every level during the pandemic. Tulane Transplant Institute Receives Optum ® Center of Excellence Designations The Tulane Transplant Institute has been named a Center of Excellence (COE) for liver, kidney, and pancreas transplants by Optum, a leading health services company. The COE designation rec- ognizes organizations that provide high-quality, cost-effective care to patients receiving organ transplants. Tulane earned the COE designations after com- pleting a rigorous qualification process that took several factors into consideration, including a his- tory of delivering excellent health outcomes – as measured by fewer health complications and hos- pital readmissions, among others – in a cost-effec- tive manner. Four Ochsner Health Hospitals Receive 2020 Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award for Patient Experience Ochsner Health is announced that four of its hospitals have been named a 2020 Guardian of Excellence Award winner by Press Ganey. The Guardian of Excellence Award recognizes top- performing health care organizations that have achieved the 95th percentile or above for perfor- mance in Patient Experience. The hospitals honored are: • Ochsner Baptist, A Campus of Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans won the Guardian of Excellence for Patient Experi- ence in Ambulatory Surgery.
