Linares There are several metrics we evalu- ate when looking at quality, such as patient safety, patient experience, and patient out- comes. We utilize evidence based metrics through the National Healthcare Safety Network, Center for Disease Control, The Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. A big focus for Touro this year is experi- ence. Our goal is to provide the best patient, employee, and physician experience to each person that walks through the doors at Touro. Editor How has technology changed your operation? Linares Technology influences all aspects of healthcare. It allows for quicker diagnoses, advanced treatment options, and allows for customized care plans.We know that health- care isn’t one size fits all; technology pro- vides us with the tools to create unique indi- vidualized treatment plans, which leads to improved patient care. However, even with all of our technological advancements, care and empathy are still at the center of every- thing we do for our patients.
