Early activity in the Gulf of Mexico is certainly something none of us were hoping for, but it is the reality we face. Sure, things will be more complicated this season if a major storm makes landfall, but that doesn’t mean we should panic. In fact, if we have learned anything over these past few months, it is to always be prepared. This year’s threat is not just potential hurricanes. Life is fragile, and we are vulnerable to a myriad of hazards on any given day, depending on where we live, what our work engages us to do, and how destiny calls upon us to act.
