How- ever, Tulane physicians will still see patients at the pediatric general and specialty clinics on the Tulane Lakeside campus, she said, as well as serve the needs of the babies in the Tulane NICU. Marc Junot is Associate Administrator of Lakeview Regional Medical Center Heart and Vascular Service Line Lakeview Regional Medical Center, a campus of Tulane Medical Center, announced the promotion of Marc Junot, RN, to associate administrator of the Heart and Vascular service line. Most recently, Junot was the Clinical Manager of the Cath Lab/ PACU at Lakeview Regional. He joined Lakeview Regional staff as a Cath Lab nurse in April of 2013. He worked as a staff nurse in the CCU at Ochsner Medical Center for two years before coming to Lakeview Regional. As associate administrator, Junot will gain expo- sure to hospital operations and business develop- ment while working closely with other service lines to better coordinate more efficient and effective treatment. “Mr. Junot has demonstrated a record of success and we are excited to have someone with his clinical experience lead our heart and vas- cular service line,” stated Hiral Patel, chief exec- utive officer for Lakeview Regional. “Mr. Junot is dedicated to continuing Lakeview Regional’s com- mitment to the care and improvement of human life.” “This hospital was awarded because it is one of the best at treating their patients the way their patients want to be treated,” said Delia Passi, founder and CEO of the Women’s Choice Award. “Hospital choice is a critical decision, particularly for women, who make over 80 percent of health- care decisions and providing a great experience for her throughout her patient journey is a win- win for all involved. NewTulane Lakeside Hospital Name Reflects Expanded Adult Services on Campus Tulane Lakeside Hospital for Women’s and Chil- dren has provided specialty care to moms and babies in Jefferson Parish and beyond for more than 50 years. To better reflect its expanding focus on adult ser- vices, the hospital is changing its name to Tulane Lakeside Hospital and adding an adult inten- sive care unit, expanded orthopedic capabilities, and other services to its already robust women’s, obstetrics, and neonatal intensive care services. In addition to the development of a total knee and hip replacement center and a larger pres- ence of the Tulane Sports Medicine Institute on the Tulane Lakeside campus, the hospital is also investing in new robotic surgery technology that will increase the accuracy and precision of shoul- der and knee replacements. Tulane Lakeside will continue to offer adult and pediatric emergency services – with average ER wait times well below local and state averages – as well as inpatient rehabilitation services. Adult specialty services such as cardiology and urology have begun offering clinics on or near the Tulane Lakeside campus, and other specialties are being explored. The hospital will also continue to build on its leg- acy of women’s care with enhanced women’s imag- ing services and continued support of its Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Women’s Choice Award: STPH Among America’s 100 Best Hospitals, Patient Experience Women’s Choice Award has once again named St. Tammany Parish Hospital among America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Patient Experience, plac- ing St. Tammany Parish’s largest hospital within the top 100 hospitals of similar size based on num- ber of beds. The methodology used to select STPH as one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Patient Expe- rience is unique in that it evaluates specific Hos- pital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Provid- ers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey results along with primary research about women’s healthcare preferences. The Women’s Choice Award collects the data for the following HCAHPS survey measures and uses a weighted average to award the best hospitals for patient experience: • Effective communication with nurses and doctors • Providing patient recovery information • Explanation about medications before being administered to the patient • Bathroom and room cleanliness • Peacefulness of room at night • Patient recommendation rating Marc Junot
