This designation recognizes efforts in protecting patients from harm and meeting the highest safety standards in the United States. The following facilities received the highest designa- tion from Leapfrog: • Ochsner Baptist- A Campus of Ochsner Medi- cal Center • Ochsner Medical Center- Baton Rouge • Ochsner Medical Center- Hancock • Ochsner Medical Center- Jefferson Highway • Ochsner Medical Center- Kenner executive member of the St Bernard Parish Eco- nomic development, and a board member of the Chamber of Commerce. Thibodaux Regional Medical Center Plays Key Role in Mass Casualty Drill Thibodaux Regional Medical Center has worked to improve its emergency preparedness with detailed planning and continuous training through leading and participating in both internal and external disaster drills. Most recently, Thibodaux Regional participated in another regional full-scale drill involving mass casualties. The drill was held in association with the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) Region 3, the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness Region 3, first responders, and other local and regional organizations. The event originated in Terrebonne Parish. Mock victims were transported to local hospitals, including Thibodaux Regional Medical Center. The purpose of the exercise was to evaluate the readiness of key local and regional agencies, as well as hospitals, for response and emergency operations, protection of responder’s safety, and coordination of care and resources. “Thibodaux Regional has a detailed emer- gency preparedness plan that is activated during team and to get the chance to care for the St. Ber- nard community.” Keene has more than 25 years of healthcare leadership experience, and has held various hos- pital administrative positions in Louisiana, Florida, and Pennsylvania. Most recently, Keene served as the associate vice president of clinic operations – St. Tammany East Market for Ochsner Health System. Keene is a registered nurse executive with a leadership experience in a wide range of health- care settings, including large teaching, investor- owned, and not-for-profit facilities. “My time spent serving patients and working at their bedsides has been invaluable,” continued Keene. “I have focused my leadership on providing our caregiv- ers with a healing environment and the clinical tools they need to care for others.” Keene holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Saint Leo University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Jackson- ville University.
