Mary Bird Perkins TGMC Cancer Center announced their annual cancer gala, Ladies Night Out, will be held Sept. 20 at the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center at 6:30pm. The event, which is presented by Peoples Drug Store, celebrates cancer survivorship, raises valuable funds to support cancer patients in the community, and honors those who have lost the fight against cancer.
“We are thrilled to once again celebrate the tremendous community support of our patients and the Cancer Center with an unforgettable and fabulous evening,” said Melanie Guilbeaux, Mary Bird Perkins TGMC Cancer director. “Over the past 11 years, we have raised $796,000 for patients receiving treatment right here at home. We are proud to be able to offer world-class services to our community so that each patient can continue to live life to its fullest.”
The event will include a silent auction, local cuisine, signature cocktails, music, and a cancer survivor fashion show featuring 17 survivors.
Proceeds from Ladies Night Out will help remove barriers to care, such as transportation assistance for those needing help getting to their treatments, and providing free community cancer screenings for those who otherwise could not afford them.
General admission tickets to the event start at $50 per person. To become a sponsor or purchase tickets, visit mbptgmc.org/lno. For more information, contact Rhonda Alfred at (985) 873-4616 or email@example.com.
