LSUHealthNO Donors Now Receive TAF Priority Points

Tiger Athletic Foundation (TAF) is now awarding priority points for gifts made to LSU Health Foundation New Orleans and LSU Health New Orleans Medical Alumni Association. Each $1,000 donation made since January 1, 2017, is eligible for 1 priority point.

The Priority Point System is used to allocate opportunities for LSU fans to purchase certain tickets and parking passes to LSU athletic events based on giving to TAF and other LSU-affiliated organizations, including LSU Health Foundation New Orleans and the Alumni Association of LSU Health New Orleans School of Medicine.

"TAF’s Board of Directors and the Athletic Department are unanimous in their support of these changes to the priority point system,” said Rick Perry, President and CEO of TAF.  “We believe that these changes and the continued cooperation of our fundraising organizations will encourage private fund-raising efforts and enhance academic opportunities for all students attending LSU, including LSU’s student athletes.”

LSU Health New Orleans donors who would like to receive credit for gifts made in 2017 should contact LSU Health Foundation New Orleans at taf@lsuhsc.edu or 504-568-5717. Existing TAF members will need to provide their TAF ID numbers. The freeze date for LSU Philanthropic priority points for distribution of new season tickets and parking permits is Sunday, April 30, 2017.

“The opportunity to earn TAF points for donations to the LSU Health Foundation New Orleans is a win-win for everyone,” notes Denis “Chip” Simon, III, DDS, MS, member of the LSU Health Foundation New Orleans Board of Directors. “We, as donors, can increase our standing for Philanthropic Ranking in the TAF, and the Foundation can build toward our goals in providing much needed services. Please avail yourself of the opportunity to participate in this exciting new endeavor.”

The mission of LSU Health Foundation New Orleans is to provide support to the six Professional Schools and eight Centers of Excellence comprising the LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans. The Foundation is dedicated to supporting the most critical medical center in Louisiana by supporting the professionals who care for so many of the citizens of Louisiana.
