LikeMinded Ladies, a 501 (c) (6) business organization aimed at supporting GNO women both personally and professionally, is hoping to help the young patients at Children’s Hospital realize their real-life “superpowers.”
Donning superhero costumes, the Executive Team will head to Children’s Hospital on Dec. 14 and will provide capes, masks, and supplies for the kids to use with a craft activity. As part of the fun, the ladies will encourage the children to explore what their superpowers are, and to express that power in their cape and mask decorating.
The event will take place in the Children’s Hospital Auditorium at 1:30 p.m.
In addition, LikeMinded Ladies, in partnership with the Jefferson Parish Library system and City Park, is hosting a toy drive throughout the New Orleans metro area. Toy donations will be accepted through Dec. 18 at the following locations:
-West Jefferson Medical Center - Cafe Jefferson, Human Resources (4413 Wichers), and the Atrium.
-University Medical Center - Administration, Tower 3 - Floor 1
-Touro Infirmary - Human Resources - 1st floor of main hospital
-New Orleans East Hospital - Human Resources Department
-Children’s Hospital New Orleans - Outpatient Rehab Center (4310 Waverly St., Metairie)
-City Park - Administration Building
-Jefferson Parish Libraries:
--Westbank: 2751 Manhattan Blvd, Harvey
--Eastbank: 4747 W Napoleon Ave, Metairie
