Christine Albert, LCMC Health Vice President of Marketing and Communications, has been appointed to the Board of the American Hospital Association’s Society for Healthcare Strategy & Market Development (SHSMD).
SHSMD is the largest professional association for healthcare strategists, planners, marketers, and communications and public relations professionals, serving more than 4,000 members, nationwide, in all sectors of healthcare, including hospitals and health systems, physician groups, consulting firms, advertising and public relations agencies, and service providers.
Following a competitive application process, Christine was selected to serve a three-year term on this national board. She has been a SHSMD member since 2008, actively involved on committees, and has been a SHSMD U presenter. As a Board member, Christine will help advance the interests of healthcare strategy professionals, and serve as an advocate for the important role that healthcare strategy plays in today’s healthcare organization.
With more than 15 years in healthcare marketing, Christine joined Touro in 2006 as Director of Marketing, and was promoted to the role of Vice President of Marketing in 2016. Christine has played a key role in developing LCMC’s branding and digital strategies, and has created a collaborative and high-performing marketing team, aligned to support the growth of the LCMC Health system and its member hospitals.
