The Big Easy Fleur de Lis Parkinson’s Support Group holds meetings at East Jefferson General Hospital in the Esplanade I room of the first floor Conference Center. There is no fee to attend. The next meeting will be on Aug. 28 from 1-3 p.m.
The topic for the August meeting will be “Parkinson’s Disease: More than Motor Symptoms,” presented by Dr. Jay Rao, MD, Professor Emeritus of Neurology and Neurosciences and Professor of Clinical Neurology at LSU, and Mary Brocato, Executive Neuroscience Sales Specialist for ACADIA Pharmaceuticals.
Parkinson’s patients, family, and caregivers are welcome to attend. Every month there is news about medications, treatments, current Parkinson’s research, tips, and tricks for making life easier each day, all with an emphasis on living well with Parkinson’s.
